REDMOND (Wash.), July 15, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Ossia Inc. ("Ossia") is the leader in wireless power at a distant and today announced two new partnerships that will help Ossia accelerate its momentum in bringing wireless power to market.
The first partnership is with IQT, a strategic investor that accelerates the delivery of innovative technologies to U.S. intelligence and defense agencies. IQT was established in 1999 to provide cutting-edge technologies that will enhance the nation's security.
The second is with e-peas, a cutting-edge semiconductor company that is helping to make energy harvesting technology more accessible for wireless power. Ossia has been working with this company for more than two decades. They specialize in ultra-low power energy harvesting, processing solutions, and have been with Ossia for over two years. Ossia and e-peas collaborated to develop a state-of-the art energy management chip.
Ossia and e-peas have collaborated on one of the most important collaborations to date. They are integrating features in the versatile buck-boost environmental energy manager AEM30330 to support Cota technology and Retail IoT applications (such ESLs and low power sensors).
This chip supports both battery and super-capacitor applications and has an ultra-low power start-up voltage of 275mV. Cota Wireless Solution using e-peas EM30330 power management chips has a small footprint and low Bill of Materials (BOM), which allows Cota Power Receivers to be scaled and cost effective.
Both partnerships reinforce Ossia's dominant market leadership in wireless power with continued innovation in wireless power technology development and momentum from Ossia's expanding ecosystem and market segments.
Geoffroy Gosset is CEO of e-peas. "Our collaboration with Ossia allowed us to create cutting edge features for the Cota Real Wireless Power Solution," he said. "This collaboration is very pleasing. It shows that we have both technology, innovation, and quality to offer industry-leading energy harvesting solutions such as low power sensors and Retail IoT applications.
"Wireless power transmission is a long-standing interest of the intelligence community. In-Q-Tel's excitement to partner with Ossia will bring Cota technology at the forefront," states Steve Taub (Partner, Investments at IQT).
Cota Real Wireless Power is Ossia's flagship technology. This patented, award-winning technology delivers power at a distance without cables, charging pads or line-of sight. Cota technology is capable of delivering meaningful power to multiple devices simultaneously, in motion, at a significant distance, safely, and efficiently. All Cota-enabled gadgets can be activated, managed and monitored via the Cota Cloud platform.
Doug Stovall (CEO of Ossia) stated, "We are very happy to announce partnerships." These partnerships allow Cota-powered products and services to continue their spread across Ossia's expanding ecosystem. There is a huge demand for wireless power in the IoT, retail, military, and intelligence sectors. These partnerships will help Ossia accelerate the mass deployment of Cota Real Wireless Power around the globe.
